2008 Summer Music Study Scholarship Application

The Grosse Pointe South Band and Orchestra Boosters award scholarships to returning Band & Orchestra students, meeting the qualifications below, who undertake music studies over the summer months.  Scholarship awards may be applied towards summer music camps, summer workshops, institutes and private lessons on the student’s band /orchestra instrument, or instruments pre-approved by the music directors.  Students may apply for multiple scholarships.  The number of scholarships and monetary value of each are decided at the discretion of the Music Directors and the B&O Boosters Executive Board.

2007 ACES Summer Jazz Workshop

What:
Now in its’ third year, the ACES Summer Jazz Workshop provides an excellent training environment for young jazz musicians. The workshop focuses on individual playing technique, improv skills and ensemble playing, providing each student with the tools and experience needed to further “their chops” as a jazz musician.

When:
6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
• June 12th, 19th, 26th
• July 10th, 17th, 24th

Concert:
• July 25th @ 7:00 P.M.
